JUST ANNOUNCED: Dave will be joined by Mark Stein, co-founder of Vanilla Fudge!
See legendary guitarist, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member, and founding member of Traffic DAVE MASON perform live at Tacoma’s Rialto Theater, on September 9. Celebrating 50 years of music and collaborations with artists like Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, and The Rolling Stones, you don’t want to miss this epic one-night-only performance from a music icon. Get your tickets now online, or by calling the Box Office at 253-591-5894.
Dave was a founding member of British band Traffic, which was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. Their single “Feelin’ Alright?”, written by Dave, has been covered by many artists.
Dave's solo career took off in the USA after leaving Traffic in 1969. He has penned over 100 songs, has 3 gold albums, and a platinum album “Let It Flow”, which contained the top-ten single “We Just Disagree”.
“Yep, I sing all those songs that first hit the airwaves in the 60’s and 70’s”, says Dave. “And I’m still a strong believer in the magic of music. There aren’t old songs or new songs, in my mind at least, just GOOD songs."
While a prolific artist in his own right, Dave has collaborated with an enviable list of music industry icons including Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Graham Nash, Rita Coolidge, and Eric Clapton, among others. Dave’s Washington State stop reconnects him with the origin one of his most acclaimed collaborators, Jimi Hendrix. On the album “Electric Lady”, he played acoustic guitar in the mega-hit “All Along the Watchtower” - a favorite in Dave’s live shows!
“At 76 years of age, I'm still loving performing live concerts. I feel grateful for that, and to tell you the truth it surprises the hell out of me. I’ve been doing it for over 60 years and the love is still there”, Dave says.
“I’m a ‘rare bird’, so to speak, sticking to the tour life and to music, and you’re invited to join me in 2023!”, Dave says. “No fireworks, no flashing lights, no go-go dancers, no special effects. Just great songs and a promise of a heart-filled performance.”
Those who come out to witness the current Endangered Species Tour can likely expect to hear such well-known hits and affiliated songs as "All Along the Watchtower," "Only You Know and I Know," "Dear Mr. Fantasy," "We Just Disagree" and the ever-so-popular rock anthem, "Feelin' Alright," along with the Vanilla Fudge classic, "You Keep Me Hanging On," that will celebrate and feature the band's newest member, Mark Stein.
It's rare to find artists with such longevity and vitality from the 1960's, much less two of them on stage together at the same time, performing some of the most iconic and enduring rock songs of all time. Some truly timeless classics. As Dave likes to say, "There are no old songs, only good songs." Give the people what they want.
